Was his last hit the one where he smoked it to the third baseman and still  beat out the throw to first? Impressive. So much speed. Not only that, but just the fact he was hustling in his 5th at bat of the night.

He had a game either last year or the year before in NY on a saturday.... like 5/5 with a home run and 3 doubles... incredible game.

But his last hit was exactly like that.... smoked to short, still made it to first in time.

And that was like the 8th inning, of a blow out game, when he was already the player of the game by far.

Yeah, that might've been the game I'm thinking about instead. I just remember that it should have been an easy play for the fielder but Trout sprinted out of the box like it was the game-winning hit, beating the throw. But you're right, it was a blow out game.
