This team will live and die the next four year depending on whether Pujols and Hamilton can start hitting.  They do?  solid team.  They don't? see current standings.

Shields has an option year at about 14 million. So not a FA till 2015

KC would be ripping the Angels off if they do this trade.  Trumbo is a great, young player.  Angels need to start over and rebuild around Trumbo and Trout.  Those two make a great core.

Shields is a good pitcher but he's a free agent after the year. Why trade our 2nd best hitter away who has club control just to hope he makes a difference this year?

He is not a FA. He has an option year for 2014. Fa in 2015. Still would be a bad move i think
