In hindsight: Biggest offseason losers

Recommended Posts

Assuming the 2020 season is cancelled which is pretty likely at this point who had the worst offseason? The Dodgers were the winners going into this season but they now have to be the losers. They essentially gave up their #1 prospect, 2 other prospects, Maeda, and $10M for David Price LMAO.

Other notable mentions: Ryu will be 34 when he throws his first pitch as a Blue Jay. Keuchel will be 33. Cole will be 30 (his contract was already laughable).  Rendon will be in his age 31 season.

1 lost year makes a huge difference.

If there’s no baseball season I think Albert kinda lucks out in that situation. He’ll get a free $29M to just rest his legs and prepare for his final season ballpark gift tour.

It's not just Albert who would "luck out."

If the season is cancelled, Mang gets $1.16 M.

So in reality if he would’ve just accepted the Cardinals final offer he would’ve ended up netting the same money and retired already.
