I'm safe hunkered down in Bixby Knolls. Average April high is 110 degrees here.

In fact, I haven't been sick in years. Just some minor heart trouble from enduring my Angels decade after decade, but have medicine for that.

There's no way it gets 136 in Long Beach. I lived in Indio for three years, and the temperature never got that high.
