I think he's much more comfortable with his natural leg kick.

He's been tinkering with it this spring adding at least a little bit of a leg kick. Which probably explains the Spring Training struggles as he's trying to find what works best.

Ohtani knows how to hit. He’s using ST to experiment. If he stops hitting in the regular season, then I’ll be concerned.

Actually it’s Shohei that’s tinkering with his swing. I saw him taking BP in Oakland last season with a leg kick. Let’s see how it plays out.
