Trout: Lost respect for some Astros

really hoping teams don't even bother with drilling the cheating fucks during spring training.

save it for games that actually count.

the only problem is the mlb front office is full of cowards, and they'll have no problem punishing pitchers who do it.  all because mlb didn't have the courage to deal out appropriate punishment on their own.  really gross.

With what happened to Kobe, Trout has taken on a new level of hero for me. Knowing that astros players felt compelled to contact Mike and explain themselves shows others feel similarly. He’s a great guy- he doesn’t even really condemn them or lay into them as harsh as others have, and yet what he says here is profound and surely makes those guys feel sh***y. I hope Mike just DESTROYS them this year

The Astros are gonna go through hell this year and it’s glorious. When Trout calls you out you know you really done fucked up good.

Their first trip to Yankee Stadium ought to be a whole bag of fun. It's almost at the end of the season, September 21-24 (they have a three-game road series against the Braves after that, then the regular season is over).

Sports books are taking over/under bets on Astros hitters being hit by pitches this season.

Sportsbooks expect Astros hitters to be targeted often this season

On Monday, sportsbook William Hill set the over/under on number of Astros batters to get plunked this season at 83.5. In the past five seasons, only nine teams have been hit by pitches more than 83.5 times, but, with the anger over the sign-stealing scandal involving Houston, there is plenty of reason to believe the Astros will be targeted frequently.

I had to laugh at this:

Enough opposing players and managers have expressed their displeasure with the Astros that new Houston manager Dusty Baker has publicly urged MLB to protect Astros hitters from intentionally being beaned. "I'm depending on the league to try to put a stop to this seemingly premeditated retaliation that I'm hearing about," Baker told reporters Saturday. "And in most instances in life, you get kind of reprimanded when you have premeditated anything. I'm just hoping that the league puts a stop to this before somebody gets hurt."

Apparently reprimands don't apply to anything that actually affects the outcome of games.
