I blame Moreno for letting his pride & ego get the best of him. So what if trade was delayed because of complicatipns in original trade? Pederson & Stripling would have upgraded their team. Pederson for 1 year, Stripling, given chance can be solid mid-rotation pitcher. Are, for once, think of team first before letting your pride get best of you.

Seems rather disingenuous given Arte spent mega millions improving the team with Rendon.

I'm over it.

Looking forward to pitchers and catchers reporting tomorrow.

I can understand people being disappointed, I know I was. But some of the people on Twitter and on here are acting like it's the end of the world that didn't acquire a one year rental platoon OF and a 30 year old pitcher whose never amassed 125 IP in a season.

Remember our old little ewok friend? He wants people to protest and not show up to the stadium to show their distaste for this trade getting pulled by Arte.

Is this the fasted a thread has reached 3,000 or so replies? 16 hours, 39 minutes as I hit send. I'm reacting having reached the bottom of page 1 of 91.

Arte's historic interference in personnel decisions has sent this team back again. Stripling would've immediately been our #3 SP and he's more than capable of going well beyond 125 innings. Joc would've brought additional power to a team that will now be forced to outscore teams 9-8 every day. These 2 guys for a journeyman Rengifo would've been a steal. Way to meddle again Arte....

That take is so Feb. 9.

And had that trade gone through we'd have a 30+ page thread about the prospects we gave up, which may have very likely included Adams+ others.

giving the Halos front office and Arte the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were most upset about players on the team being run through the rumor mill for a week without resolution.  Then the deal might have changed which could have further disrupted others lives.  Arte is a straight shooter and doesn't like to be messed with.  Maybe his response was too emotional, but my guess is it was for the right reasons in feeling the need to protect his existing guys.

While I'm not on board with fans protesting the Angels by not going to games, Eric is 100% correct that Arte's main priority is 3+ million tickets sold in a season.

Was his handle JabronieRamone on our board?

I remember the name Eric Denton more than JabronieRamone

Remember when Arte was too stubborn to give Beltre that fifth year despite the Angels desperate need for 3B?  If what is being reported now is true, Arte's stubbornness has hurt this team again.

I give him a pass for not giving Beltre a 5th year....that's a judgment call.....but if, in response to not signing Beltre, he told Reagins to "do something" and we got the Vernon Wells trade in response, that was his mistake...don't know if that story is true....
