So, with the additions of Teheran, Bundy, and Andriese our pitching didn't improve?  Weird...

Tehran is the only improvement on that list.

Factor for a 6 man rotation when Ohtani comes back, no more Skaggs and other than Tehran and Bundy a bunch of guys that are always injured.

Same song and dance every offseason with the blind homers.

Then come September when we’re 15 games out they go back to the same drawer every time..

Kind of funny you have an 'excuses' gif handy.

Skaggs accounted for only 79 innings last season and averaged less than 100.0 IP per season for the last 4 seasons...yeah, tough to replace that.

There were four principals involved in this mess - Angels, Dodgers, Red Sox, Twins - but only Arte Inserted himself and grabbed headlines.

Im not defending Arte here, but..... huh?

The "headlines" all week were about the deal being held up by Boston... then Minn pulled out....

Aside from Angel fans, nobody is talking about our deal w the dogs.

That was a strange article. It claims Arte pulled out of the deal, but in the same paragraph it claims that after the Boston/Minny trades, the Dodgers viewed the Angels trade as "unnecessary."

So Arte pulled out of a deal the Dodgers didn't want to make?

I don't drink scotch.

and you've gone from 10 runs/gm to 5.4

The Angels scored 4.7 runs/gm last year, do you think that they will score 5.4 this year?  Even with Rendon, you also only have Ohtani hitting 3-4 games a week.

Can anyone post the specifics? Im too lazy (and short of space on my phone) to download the app

The only thing that you can't find elsewhere is what's in the headline: that Arte Moreno ordered the Angels to pull out of the deal, "sources told The Athletic.".

The rest is just the usual The-Angels-haven't-won-a-playoff-game-since-2009 stuff and summarizing the Dodgers/Red Sox/Minnesota trade of the last few days.

You're changing the conversation.

Does this mean the 1,620 runs bet is a no-go?

Specifics are multiple people reported Arte was fuming and pulled out.

That's enough. As the owner he needs to keep quiet and stay out. I appreciate his willingness to spend and expand the Angel experience but he's proved multiple times he is a terrible baseball GM. Did any reports surface about the Twins' owner emotions? No. They were flexible and got the deal done.

You wouldn't by any chance work for CNN?

Who are the multiple sources that Arte pulled out?

Is this the same Skaggs that you said it would stupid to sell high on after his solid first half in 2018?
