Odd Bobby Grich stats:

In 1979, Grich hit 30 HR's. Led the Angels in OPS(Higher than MVP Don Baylor). Drove in 101 Runs. Had a WAR of 6.0. Finished 8th for AL MVP. Led the American League in Championship WPA (whatever the Hell that is).

He also led the Angels with 12 Sacrifice Hits! Can you imagine in today's game, the dude with the highest OPS on the team leading the team in sacrifice hits? I was going to say damn that Gene Mauch, but that was still Fregosi's team.

Championship WPA would be taking each individual plate appearance and measuring how much the outcome increases or decreases your team's odds of winning the world series. It's mostly for fun, as it obviously weighs outcomes more heavily the closer you get to the last out of the world series.
