my brother got the first pfizer shot on saturday. it mattered to him that the FDA was going to approve it. it probably mattered more that my 90 year old mom who just had a pacemaker implanted last week wouldn't see him until he did. but yeah, it mattered.

I know someone who refuses to get the vaccine and keeps saying he trusts "safe vaccines" but not the COVID vaccine because it didn't have full FDA approval.

she's been a vegetarian for the last 60+ years, which is part of the reason she's still kicking at 90.

as she's gotten older, she gets more anxious about things, and that's been tougher on her heart. my job is to frequently calm her down when those moments happen. her diet is certainly an ally in all of this, too.
