Rib place down the street is bad ass and with some friends playing cornhole there, which is a game I don't want to be associated with playing, but this guy I am with gets in a fist fight right there and he lost his ass.  Dino-Ribs were fantastic though.

Interesting.  Was wondering when this might eventually happen.  Wonder if some who were previously against the shot get it now that there’s an alternative to mRNA

Or perhaps the current vaccines weren't designed for every unknown variant? This virus will continue to evolve and other treatments will be necessary down the road. I think Pfizer makes more money if their first vaccine would have been effective for all variants and the Moderna and J&J ones aren't. They now have to spend tons of money developing more.

So just got back from the ER for my dad.  He's doing fine.  But man, what a shitshow the ER is.  Compound that with the understaffing.  And that he couldn't get into any of the closer hospitals and had to be taken to county.  

Oh, and here is the kicker.  ER didn't check for vaccine or do a temperature check.  Which I thought was really weird.

Nearly twice as many military members died from suicide July-Sept than from coronavirus since pandemic's start

Over 150 members of the U.S. military took their own lives in the third quarter of 2021 which represents a greater total than the number of service members who have died from the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. 

According to data released by the Pentagon, 163 service members committed suicide in Q3 of 2021 which broke down into 70 active service members, 56 reserve members, and 37 members of the National Guard.

As of January 8, 86 members of the military have died from the coronavirus.
