I’m not a vodka snob (I tend to go with Stoli these days), but I can tell the difference in vodkas and I’m also the asshole that generally orders Tito’s. The main thing is it’s corn based, so I don’t get the allergy issues the next day like one would get with a wheat or grain based vodka.

But anyway, I wasn't saying Tito's is bad it's just not the best, IMO. The implication was that Tito's is the best and I don't see it that way. Tito's is kind of middle-shelf for me. But I typically stay away from the really cheap stuff.

I keep Grey Goose around for the wife, who prefers her vodka to taste like nothing. Tito's lets you know that it's there, and that's fine.

I've never tried Kirkland vodka. Doubtful that Kirkland actually makes it. I have read that Kirkland vodka is actually Grey Goose but who knows.

I am going to give all you rednecks some really good advice here: When making your own red sauce, you absolutely must use whole, San Marzano tomatoes (which you then blend). Spend the extra money on them.

And for God's sake, don't use domestic pasta. Spend the extra $1 per pound and get something imported.
