Sure it's not ideal to not land a big name SP but we landed the top position player free agent, are getting our own potential ace back (even if on an innings limit), signed 2 SP who would have both been our best pitchers last year, signed one of the best managers in the game, who brought along an awesome pitching coach, who will/should help our young guys out in taking a step forward (canning, suarez, sandoval, barria even). Oh and Upton is healthy so I am hoping for a bounce back year. And just having Rendon in the lineup to protect Trout is huge and overlooked a bit. Trout could put up unheard of numbers.

I know we didn't sign an ace, but the Angels are very solid everywhere else.
The Angels now have the 3rd best offense in baseball and very solid pitching depth. The main key is just to stay healthy for them. A healthy Trout, Ohtani, Upton, Simmons, LaStella, Heaney and Canning can force this team to around 95wins. 

If the Angels swing a trade for Boyd without giving up Marsh OR get an Ace without giving up Adell then I'll grade it as a 2.

We have the pieces to make a run. Just need health.
