This is a great thread, thanks guys for the stories and reminders.

I think my favorite AW memory is a toss up between the AngelsWin.com 2012 & 2013 fanfest. The '12 event was amazing. We just signed Pujols and Wilson and the hype and buzz was all there. Arte Moreno spoke at our event for 45 minutes, taking our questions from the audience for 25 of those minutes. We had several prospects and players attend. Shoemaker, Calhoun, Jerome Williams to name a few. I got to meet our prospect pitcher Mike Piazza and his roommate, Mike Trout. He grabbed me toward the end of the event and said, "Hey Chuck follow me. I have someone I'd like you to meet." We got outside of the Doubletree Hotel and in his brand new truck I'm guessing he purchased with his draft money was Mike Trout. Piazza introduced me and Trout shook my hand and wanted to thank me for having a place where the fans could assemble for events like this and to talk Angels baseball throughout the year. He was really genuine and I knew we had a superstar in the making. He went on to slash .403/.467/.623 in AAA and 20 games later get promoted to the big leagues and never looked back, becoming a perennial MVP candidate. He's both an MVP on and off the field.

The Tim Salmon/Jerry Dipoto event was amazing. We had Calhoun, Grichuk a few other prospects and the entire So. California media made of Mike DiGiovanna, Jeff Fletcher, Alden Gonzalez, Big Joe McDonald and Victor Rojas sharing their stories from the past. It was EPIC. Dipoto despite the shit he deservedly gets here was an amazing speaker and incredibly engaging.

My favorite AW memory has to be in 2009 in the chatroom. We had close to 100 people in there on the day we put the Boston Red Sox out of their misery in front of all of their chowderhead fans and we chatted about the experience in real time. Meanwhile, @Blarg, @Adam, @Brian Ilten and quite a few others were at Throwbacks watching the game there in a jam packed bar.

I want to experience that again this next decade both on the board and perhaps maybe in chat as well. I think we're dude and I believe we have all of the key ingredients to get back there with a good major league foundation and farm system.

Happy new year, all.

Hard to pick a favorite moment. Trouts rookie year. Trout and trumbo... short lived, but fun times. Lots of individual game moments. But maybe trout forcing the issue in 2012 between old school and new school. His skills aside, he literally changed baseball forever... thats pretty cool.

Favorote board moment. Way too many to pick. Would be hard enough to pick one just from the last month, let alone decade.

@Adam's thread about oakland being like the retard kid at richland that banged all the chicks, and the term "overgrown pork sword" comes to mind, though.

This place is rad because theres an absolute balance between positive posters and negative ones. Serious analysts and dick jokes. Super intelligent posters and clowns.

You people are the family I turn to whenever I take a dump. I hope you all accept that for the compliment it is

Angelswin.com puts the toy-lit in toilet? 😄

This was another one of my favorite Angel moments of the decade.  The Weaver no hitter.  I honestly never thought the Weav could:

A)  Throw a no hitter at the age he did and;

B)  Actually throw a complete game.

I've actually been able to see 4 no hitters at Angel Stadium.  Nolan Ryan in 1975, Mike Witt/Mark Langston in 1990, Weaver in 2016, and last years combined no hitter.

As for my favorite moment that is pretty tough.  I would probably say being at the first home game after Skaggs passed away.  Watching the emotion and the combined no hitter was simply amazing.  They came out of the gate hot and scored 7 in the first and 13 in the game and it was decided very early who was going to win, and then the emotion of the whole thing was the closest thing to the game after Adenhart (which I went to) as I have ever seen.

my most favorite personal moment in the last decade was meeting up with a few of the guys from here one Sunday for lunch at Danny K's, and instead of just shooting the breeze and watching an Angels game, I was surprised with a new set of golf clubs and an incredibly generous gift card. even though I still struggle with forgiving adam for jacking my golf clubs, that day has stayed with me. I still think of each of you who did this for me each time I tee it up. thanks again, fellas.

I am happy to celebrate the New Year with you folks. There are too many Trout centered memories from 2012 and beyond.

Favorite Board Moment goes back a while, which are the "Edge: Lowell" jokes because, Figgins in 2009 was having an MVP caliber year, and the dumbass writer for whatever publication that was needed to be called out. So I did and it is now a board thing.

You're all lame, especially @ettin.

My favorite Angels moment was Vladdy's single in the 9th off that steaming pile of Chowd goat shit, Jonathan Papsmear, which ended up being the game winning hit in the ALDS. It was awesome seeing the Red Sox fans getting all cocky and basically saying "oh yeah we got this". That shithole deflated like a condom in a clown porn. Sweeping the Red Sox after all the shit they put us through was the first time I truly experienced an Angelgasm. The bunk was completed a few days after, and the rest is history.

My only meeting with you guys involved me and Chuck getting drunk and ordering way too much Taco Bell the night before Tim Mead was going to speak. We got up late and hungover as fuck, rushed to the stadium only to realize we got daylight savings time'd. We we're an hour early. I think I got another beer lol. Oh and I also had the most awkward moment getting Barria's autograph. I squatted down where he was in the stands and he signed my ball, no problem. But since I was buzzed and am also fat I struggled to stand, so I fell straight back into a fan sitting in the next aisle.

This board is definitely the best forum on the internet. Real Angels fans with passionate opinions. Everyone is kind of an asshole. Especially Lou.

I'd still buy anyone here a drink if I lived out there. Someday, when most of you are dead, I'll end up in California.

I want to thank Chuck and everyone who operates AW.com behind the scenes for almost 15 years (how long has it been? - more than a decade) of AW.com.

while my (and others) participation tends to fluctuate depending on how the season is going for the Halos and what's going on in our personal and work lives -- AW.com is always here waiting for us,.

The regular posters are all for the most part a great group of folks and on this board - unlike some others - you can actually learn some things about the day to day news of the Angels - its always great to have Jeff Fletcher posting here giving us further insights and often setting us straight (I love the way he cuts posters no slack and cuts right to the chase as to what's really going on !)

It's been a tough decade for the Halos - I look forward to Joe Madden's leadership - I think it will make a difference.

My favorite 'Halos' moment of the past decade is more than a moment -- it's Andrelton Simmons proving day in and day out he is one of the best defensive SS in MLB for the past five plus years -- TROUT is TROUT and a once in (several) generations type player - he's great to watch -- but don't overlook Simmons -- he's been great for our Halos and on offense as well (which really wasn't expected). We gave up pitching to get him (and the guy Atlanta got had some issues in 2019 which was supposed to be his 'break out' season but wasn't) but I think we essentially stole him from Atlanta -- of course, the guy Atlanta has at SS right now is pretty good as well.

I also agree with Chuck's post on this thread about his favorite Angelswin.com events/ moments.

Happy New Year everyone on this site - you're all great --

AW.corn ?  - see I still have the typos glitch after all these years -- it's the somewhat new MAC I have with the smaller key board combined with fat fingers.........not a good combo.

Or if AW.com comes out AW.corn again here, I can blame it on spell check.

Don't worry tdawg gets it!

My favorite moments the past decade involves being able to experience the full range of emotions while watching Angel baseball.  I am constantly reminded how a simple game can become so important for the dumbest reasons.

Thanks @Chuckster70 for creating the platform allowing all of this to happen.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to write primers and other articles to make this the best place to become an informed Angels fan.
