Yes, Ryu is a superstar in Korea just like Ohtani is a superstar in Japan. Neither one of them are superstars in America.

oh, so they meant the Angels didn't want two players who are superstars in other countries.

Yes, specifically Japan vs. Korea. This is what is being reported. It was also reported the Angels never offered Ryu a contract.

and Boras denied it's authenticity.

and who cares if we offered him a contract. that doesn't mean it's race-related? that's just stupid.

I don't think it's a race thing for the Angels.

The story, as it relates to the Angels, is the Angels never made Ryu an offer. So, Why didn't Eppler make an offer?

And then it goes on to address separating their marketing efforts? Is this why Eppler didn't make Ryu an offer?

"As for the Angels, a formal offer was never put on the table. According to Ryu’s camp, the Angels didn’t want two Asian players on the same team. Rather than separating their marketing efforts between the Korean and Japanese markets (the Angels already have Shohei Ohtani, a Japanese player), they instead wanted to focus on Japan."

Yes that makes it a race issue.  He is basically saying that maybe if he wasn’t Asian they would have offered him a contract.  I’d like to hear whether or not he was offered a contract.

I'm sure Eppler will come out and say: " we didn't offer Ryu a contract because being Korean, fat and injury prone, he's not worth the money .... oh, and he's fat."

Well he also would have squinted his eyes and did a terrible Asian accent.

As is tradition.
