He was born in AZ, played at ASU and now he gets to play for the diamondbacks so good for him.  He was one of the few guys in the last decade that came up through the system, turned into an every day player and produced while he wasn't really a highly touted prospect.  I wish him nothing but the best.

Thats pretty ideal for him. He went to ASU and spends spring training there every year already. 
 

happy for Cole! Thankful for everything he did here, and seeing him overcome that horrendous 2018 was great.

According to mlbtraderumors, he got a 2 year deal with an option (unsure which side has the option).  Calhoun must be pretty stoked; gets to go back home, gets a multi-year deal with a 3rd year option, and a starting spot on a decent looking team.

Wow 2 year 16mil with club option.  A lot more than I thought he would receive.  Dbacks making moves to improve.  This whole offseason teams be crazy with their money.

That’s in the neighborhood of what it thought he might get. A little on the high side, tbh, but good for him. 16m guaranteed over two years isn’t a bad deal at all. Possibility of 23 overall. Good luck, Kole.

Nothing but best wishes to Mr. Calhoun. It's great news he's out of the American League and is only likely to plague the Angels as a blast from the past four times every fourth season.

MLB radio did an entire segment on Kole signing with the White Sox and what that meant for them with the additions of Keuchel, Grandall and now Calhoun.  Then the Co-host reminded him he signed with the D-Backs.
