Well, of course not because Eppler traded for him.  Now, if some other GM traded for him, it would be viewed as a missed opportunity and another example of Eppler's "complacency".

Bundy and Teheran aren’t spectacular by any means, but I’ll go into the season and read the fluff pieces and have some hope that there is still a ceiling out there for them that that haven’t reached. I personally choose to hope for the best with these guys then bitch about it later

Eppler makes good under the radar moves: Bundy, LaStella, Maldanado, Sandoval, Pena, bullpen guys....maybe even Stassi...when he actually spends money, no so much: Allen, Harvey, Cahill, Valbuena...maybe Upton (not there yet but discouraging)....

Today's performance makes it impossible to not start considering that Bundy has undergone a performance spike. I didn't watch the game but seeing the highlights, his breaking stuff is just nasty. If he can continue to locate that 90 mph fastball, his breaking stuff is going to continue getting people out.

I think I shared this somewhere but I’ll share it again.  He was a candidate for improvement based on pitch usage.  I don’t remember all the details but his fastball was rated something like the 2nd worst pitch in baseball but his secondary pitches rated out as plus offerings.  So the theory is if he threw those pitches more and the fastball less he could be much more effective.  I believe this is what @Inside Pitch was referring to when he says if Bundy would buy into a change.  In his worst outing he allowed a 3 run homer on a letter high fastball in the first inning.  Since then he’s been really damn good.  In his three starts he’s gotten beat on two pitches and one of those pitches came with no one on base and a 4 run lead.
