Steamer is projecting an ERA close to 5.5 with a 0.5 WAR. 

That's an improvement over Cahill/Harvey and Suarez/Barria.  With more innings.  Which should help the bullpen.

Sure, but nothing in Ryu's career shows he'll give you a healthy season.  In fact, if you look at his numbers, he always follows a healthy year with an unhealthy year.

This was the plan going into this offseason and it has been accomplished. Still needs to improve but it is better.

I'm guessing you mean just on pitching. Because I was at a game where Ohtani hit twice as many homers as Ryu has in his entire career

Hopefully Callaway is even more impactful than we originally thought, because Eppler isn't giving him much to work with beyond the inning eater variety.

This is honestly a pretty good signing, since it's only one year. He eats innings and we don't throw away any prospects. I still think he has the potential to explode Blanton style, but at least it doesn't mortgage the future.
