was just reading a few articles about the 'sale'.

turns out that the language is the agreement is super ambiguous and essentially only functions as a lease extension through 2029.  At any point between now and 2025 the 'buyer' which isn't just Arte but some property company that presumably involves Arte can terminate the agreement 'at their sole discretion'.  The purchase price we have seen list is also the maximum as there are certain undisclosed and poorly defined 'credits' that can substantially decrease the purchase price.  Some are speculating that those credits could be tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

Seems to me that this was not only a delay tactic but it gives Arte and co. all of the leverage.  They essentially have ten years to find another home and if they don't like the ultimate purchase price on the land that the current amount drops to then they can walk away while still maintaining first right of refusal.

If you attend this thing, you are a grade A sucker.

"Keep the Angels in Anaheim" my ass.

If you don't like it in Anaheim, just go already, Arte.  Quit wasting everybody's time begging for an even better sweetheart deal.

I wish the city of Anaheim would grow a spine and give Moreno the same offer that Michael Corleone did in The Godfather.
