Agreed. From 2011-2018 he played in 145 games or more, consistently. That is a huge reason why Eppler and the front office offered the new contract in the first place because of his durability.

Upton could very well be declining, but I don't see him falling off a cliff. He was still on pace for 30 HR and 100 RBI this past year. He just didn't hit for average and his defense was worse than usual. 

I would be shocked if he isn't, at worst, a 2 WAR player in 2020.

Kluber and Upton were both good in 2018 but injured in 2019. If people are optimistic about Kluber getting healthy and returning to form... Why are they not as optimistic about Upton getting healthy and returning to form? Upton is also the younger of the two.

I just don't think we should write him off yet. Healthy Upton is still a high quality player.

It does seem a light return for Kluber, but then again, there is certainly value in a reliever who can throw 101 with movement, and an outfielder who can field his position in CF.
