All 3 just got non-tender.

Walker a big time prospect,  good arm. Had Tj, and shoulder Surgery, local kid.

Sanchez, a era title, down year and had shoulder surgery

Treinen: a former All-start Closer

Why not take a chance with on of them and see what they got, either in a rotation or the BP.

If they’re healthy Angels should take a flyer on one of these guys. Not claiming necessarily but trying to sign for a lower number than arbitration would’ve paid perhaps on a two year contract

Treinen and Walker are both going to the Astros and look like Cy Young pitchers there. Same thing for Felix. He'll go to the Astros and "magically" rediscovers his 2014 form and go 20-3 with a 2.30 ERA and strike out 300 batters in 230 innings pitched next year.

but which one will lead the league in trashcan lids?

Matt Harvey is also out there and wants to come to the Astros. I would be nervous if Harvey goes to the Astros. Watch him strike fear into opposing hitters if he goes to Houston next year. He'll go 22-3 with a 2.00 ERA while striking out 320 hitters in 220 innings pitched.

It's all about roster space. You can't just take a flyer on a guy - it comes with the cost of a lost roster space (which might be better utilized on a healthy arm).

Treinen definitely seems like a guy I wouldn’t mind rolling the dice on. Guy was so dominant in 2018.  Wild how up and down relievers can be.

Treinen isn’t going to come for free. Being non-tendered is different than being released during a guaranteed contract.

A lot of teams are going to be interested. I bet he gets $4-5M for 2020.

Astros may have to wait for their punishment before attracting players.

Maybe that's one of their punishments. Ineligible to sign free agents for X amount of years.
