If you had to trade one ... who do you trade?

I don’t follow the prospects that closely. If I had to choose I would trade Marsh. Jordyn Adams reminds me of Trout in terms of athletic ability. Adams, Trout, and Adell in 2021 sounds dreamy 😂

I like both of them, and would only trade one if they're adding a young guy like Contreras or Bryant or Lindor.

None of the above.

Marsh's value isn't anywhere near it's peak yet. Give it a year and he's going to be a media darling because he's big, fast, a great defender, has 30 HR power, is Adell's best friend, is white and is totally lumbersexual.

Outside of Trout, Ohtani, Adell and Cole/Wheeler, Marsh will be the most valuable asset the Angels have in a year.

Don't trade him. Don't do that to yourself or this team.

And Adams, the upside is just too juicy. He's going to be even faster than Adell and Marsh, and a better defender too. The only question is if the power and bat will develop and judging by the fact that he progressed to Advanced A Ball in his first year ever focusing on baseball, suggests that he will definitely hit. And his body type, and the amount of muscle he's put on in the last year alone suggest a spike in power is coming in the next 2 years.

I know the outfield is where the Angels have value right now, but if Eppler was willing to invest so heavily is upside prep outfielders in the first place, you don't just switch gears and trade them away before they've built value.

I wouldn't trade them proud, but even if you did, you have to wait a year or two to truly get a Kings ransom.

Again, you CAN trade one, just wait a year and a half then trade one. That way your return will actually be worthwhile

the thread's purpose was to pick one. we all know it would be difficult to trade one of them right now, but if you had to ....

I’m not advocating trading either player ... I get it. Just asking who would you trade if you had to part with one of them today.

The OP didn't say trading one RIGHT NOW.  It said trade one. I'll trade one, just in 18-24 months.

The simple reason is that right now, Marsh and Adams are guys you package together with other perspective to acquire good, yet expensive players.

In two years, Marsh will be one of those good players himself and will he cheap, meaning he could be used to acquire an insane amount of prospect capital. And Adams will be an elite prospect, at which point you could probably flip him for a good player one for one.

I'd a say trade Adams, but don't do it for two years.

Adams but he wouldn't headline a trade right now and could after another year.  Marsh would bring back more and if you do move him it better be for a top of the rotation arm (or at least strong potential for such) with a ton of club control.

Adams is still way more of a wild card and lesser known quantity.

I think i go with Adams right now
We've seen more of Marsh and hes very near ready, but to be fair its completely possible that Adams could end up better.
Adams is a year young and hasnt advanced past A ball yet where Marsh has combined with a very good showing in the AFL.  Maybe that is the smart move to trade the one thats in the press right now, but i think its safe to say one of them probably goes in any significant trade.

Jordyn Adams is not projected to hit the bigs until 2022. Adams has only played 9 games of A+ ball so he will probably start the season back with the 66'ers.

Marsh is projected to be called up sometime in 2020 and will start the season in AAA.

They both are projectable but if I had to trade one this offseason it's Adams.

I doubt you bring up Marsh to ride the pine ... Upton is signed through 2022. I wonder if the Angels have any plans for Upton at 1B.

Adams, because his game is predicated a bit more on speed and I prefer Marsh's existing defense and plate discipline.

Right now, I'd trade Adams. If Adams can put on about 15 pounds to get to 195 and add some arm strength then I'm all in for him. He's fast enough now that adding on extra muscle weight won't hurt him at all plus it'll protect his body for a long season.
I agree that they should wait to trade either and let their value rise. That's why they should spend the money now while keeping the farm in tact and then asses the trading options either at the deadline or in the offseason.

Adams' peak trade value will be reached after his breakout year this upcoming season. Many said that he had the highest ceiling and potential in his draft class and he's slowly putting it all together while physically maturing as well.

Good point. If the Angels believe that and this coming season Adams can prove that then that makes Marsh moveable. Still, they should let Marsh build more value and allow Adams to do the same.

None. Here's the thing, Marsh is coming into his own, he looks like a solid major league that has good upside. Adam is to young, i said the same thing about Marsh and jones a bit back, on how we should take a risk and let them develop. either future increasing their value or not. This is the same case for Adams and Jackson.
