Anyone here follow prospects closely? I'm curious how the prospects the braves lost did last year, also specifically the one's we signed. I was wondering if that punishment ended up being severe and what awaits the Astros

Kevin Maitan - Angels #23 prospect

Juan Contreras - Angels unranked prospect

Yefri Del Rosario - Royals #14 prospect

Abrahan Gutierrez - Phillies unranked prospect

Juan Carlos Negret - Royals unranked prospect

Yenci Pena - Rangers unranked prospect

Yunior Severino - Twins #18 prospect

Livan Soto - Angels #16 prospect

Guillermo Zuniga - Dodgers unranked prospect

Brandol Mezquita - Braves unranked prospect

Angel Rojas - Yankees unranked prospect

Antonio Sucre - appears to be out of baseball

Ji-Hwan Bae - Pirates #8 prospect

So 5 ranked prospects in Maitan, Del Rosario, Severino, Soto, and Bae (though Bae has the domestic violence controversy, and never actually signed with the Braves, just had a verbal agreement).

Livan Soto - super slick SS.  Showed the ability to hit for avg last year but that didn't continue in 2019.  He was at A ball this year after that nice season at Orem last year.  I hope he repeats A ball now at age 20 personally.   He walks at a high rate and doesn't k hardly at all.  no power.  good speed but not a total burner.

Kevin Maitan - played mostly 3b and some 2b this year.  They had him at SS a decent amount last year which was a disaster.  Defense was much improved this year.  Very strong arm.  The bat was pretty bad with the exception of him showing some of the power that we know he has.  Tons of ks.  Not a great bb rate.  Still playing a level up from where he should be.  Changed his swing mid year with mixed results.  They had him in that crouch for the second half and that's when the power showed up but nothing else really changed.  Another guy that should probably repeat A ball. Likely won't though.  One of those guys who could labor through the minors for awhile and then turn into something at age 24/25.  He's only 20 so that might mean he's with a different org by then.
