Trout is awesome. Great season.

But as good as those numbers are.. my favorite is still Bonds in 2004: .362/.602/.812

If you had a baseball player who went 2 for 5 every single game with a single and a homer all year long... they’d still have a lower OPS than Bonds in 2004.  😐

You forgot the * next to his numbers though.

This should probably go in another thread, but the narrative of Trout being on bad Angels teams is silly.

The Angels were bad this year.other years, they've been mediocre. It seems some use such terms interchangeably.

Idk about all that but I'm fucking sick of hearing about it from uneducated ESPN watching casuals. Trout, the greatest player we've possibly EVER seen play the game is being undermined by "bUt nO pLaYofF WiNs" bullshit that literally plagues any and every discussion about him. It's fucking horseshit and it's time for Arte to nut the fuck up and surround this God of a Man with enough talent to get him a ring.

I understand where you’re coming from but don’t we all want Mike Trout to be a postseason legend also. I mean he’s the best player but the name of the game is to win. I certainly don’t think that Mike Trout works his tail off during the season and the offseason to watch his team out of the playoff hunt in July.

Sure he has a busy mantel but that’s not why he plays baseball. He wants to win and the organization needs to make the necessary big decisions to get him there. They seriously need to get rid of the dead wood that holds him back and get some players who are hungry to win with Trout.
