I think Bregman gets it, but it will be incredibly close.

My argument for Trout though, is him missing the final 20 some-odd games of the season had no impact on the Angels. So even if he had played those games, the Angels still miss the playoffs by a lot. Same goes for Bregman. Him NOT missing the final 20 games had no impact on the Astros. They were winning the division regardless.

I think the fact that Bregman played shortstop during Correa’s absence might be a deciding factor in his favor.

I'm hoping the BBWA is rethinking if they should void the ballots and start over now that it is known Huston and Bregman in particular, cheated the entire season and Bregman's offensive stat line is a big ass lie.

It would be ironic if Bregman won considering the news that just came out. Guarantee if that story came out pre-voting it would’ve cost him votes.

I think Trout will win. Most writers and other media members pick Trout, from what I've seen.  I'd guess around 2/3, maybe more.  Funny things happen with small sample sizes though.

Exactly. Players also voted him of the year. Between all that, unless he just gets an unlucky sampling, I think he wins. He deserves to, for sure.

I believe the pundits are done giving Trout a pass on bad teams.  I hope i'm wrong  but i think its Bregman even though it should be Trout on merit but the whole team is his albatross here.
