LAT: There were 8 managerial openings this winter. You might be surprised by how many interviews Mike Scioscia got.

"The agent Scioscia hired, Alan Nero, declined to discuss why he believed teams decided not to interview Scioscia"

This line jumped out at me. Is it Scioscia who has declined interview requests? Is he waiting for the Dodgers job to become available?

I can't believe there is a GM out there who said "There's no way I'm interviewing Mike Scioscia... get me an interview with Dusty Baker, stat!"

That Dodgers opportunity should've happened right after Kershaw threw those cookie pitches.

No team requested an interview. The Phillies were the team that interviewed Baker.

A new job could light a fire under his ass, the problem was he just got way too complacent here.

While I think he was here too long and it was time to move on, the fact that no pitchers could stay healthy was a bigger problem than managerial complacency.

I still like Scioscia very much.

It was not his fault this team sucked the past decade.

He wasn’t perfect by a long way, but he was still a great manager.
