Epstein author tells Tucker Carlson that Maxwell’s arrest likely has some people ‘pretty terrified’

Goodman noted that because Maxwell holds citizenship in France, the country of her birth, she likely would not have been extradited from the European nation had she gone there.

"So it was very surprising that she is hiding out, really under everyone's noses in the United States, within driving distance of the U.S. attorney's office that is prosecuting her right now," Goodman said.

Host Tucker Carlson asked Goodman if any of Epstein's high-profile friends should be worried now that Maxwell is in custody.

"I think that a lot of the friends of Jeffrey Epstein who were very relieved after he died are probably pretty terrified at this moment," she answered, "because I think that Ghislaine Maxwell has every incentive to talk in this situation.

"Epstein is dead ... she doesn't really have to worry about protecting him or anything else at this point. And I think that [the Department of Justice] also has more leeway to potentially kind of deal with her than it did with Epstein because ... he was accused of being the kingpin in this situation."

Earlier, Goodman noted that Maxwell, the daughter of the late British media magnate Robert Maxwell, had been accustomed to living in luxury. When Carlson asked if Maxwell was the kind of person who would "take her own life," Goodman answered that she wasn't, but added that "this is a lifestyle she is not used to."

CNN’s primetime fails to mention these 2 major stories

Two of the biggest news stories on Thursday were the strong jobs report and the stunning arrest of Jeffrey Epstein confidant Ghislaine Maxwell, but if viewers watched CNN's primetime, they would have no idea either of them took place.

The latest jobs report showed that 4.8 million jobs were added to the U.S. economy in June, bringing the unemployment rate to 11.1 percent. Shortly after the report was released, news broke that Maxwell was arrested on multiple sex-abuse charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to engage in sexual acts.

While the liberal network covered both news items throughout the day, the stories were noticeably absent during the network's primetime programming between the 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Instead, the channel mainly focused on the coronavirus outbreak.

This is hilariously stupid.

"They covered it, but during primetime they covered the stupid Coronavirus like it's something important. Typical MSM bias."

Clintons will get there first.

Get ready for me to use the word actually a bunch.

Trump has waaaay tighter ties. His property was actually a recruiting ground for the raped children. One of his lawyers was long ago actually accused of rape by the main witness for the case against Epstein. Trump was actually sued (with an accusation of rape) by one of the girls exploited by Epstein.

Clinton probably has ties, too, but only one of 'em is actually at the top of the chart when it comes to running the institutions that are housing these people once arrested.
