One of the most expensive coffees is processed by feeding coffee seeds to an Indonesian member of the cat family called a Civet. In the wild these cats naturally climb the coffee trees and eat the ripe coffee seeds then poop a partially digested and fermented seed back out. A cottage industry of feeding these felines coffee seeds and then waiting around to collect their shit and process the undigested seeds by the usual roast and grind process has become a very profitable trade.

So profitable a cup of cat shit coffee will cost anywhere from $35 to $100 a cup. 

Yes, rich people can drink cat shit for $100 a steaming cup. It is considered a faux pas (paws?) to add cream or sugar which stunts the rich flavor of feline feces.

Kind of like shark fin soup. It's expensive, apparently has no taste, and mostly involved cutting the fin off the shark, and throwing it back in the water.
