Same, I was 34 when i got turf toe playing indoor soccer. It took almost a year to be able to sit in a squat position without it throbbing and that was with rehab and physical therapy 2 times a week. They need to change the name of the injury. turf toe sounds a lot milder than the pain it causes.

My ligament was strained all the way from the toe around the ankle and up by my calf.

Speaking of turd toe, I stepped in dog crap with my walking cast in 8th grade at the bus stop.  Yep, all fresh smelly and squishy right up between all the toes.

As long as he doesn't run into anymore walls, I'm okay with his defense.    Need his healthy bat in the lineup.

Upton is the type of guy that can carry an offense for a couple weeks. I get he’s streaky as hell but when he’s on, you cannot pitch to him.

Upton is a good player and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was an offensive beast next year.  He isn’t 25 but jeez let’s give the guy a fair chance to return to his “normal” self before we anoint him as the next punching bag.

Having him back to even an average Upton year would be a boost for the offense. I'm hopeful.

Totally agree. It was frustrating as hell because turf toe sounds pretty easy to bounce back from. And there would be stretches where it didn’t hurt much and then it was agonizing for a few days. Demoralizing because you think you’re coming out of it.

Turf toe isn't as painful as a hang nail or a paper cut.   Those two injuries have ended several baseball careers.
