Yanks all in on Cole. This is going to be fun to watch. It would be crazy to see him get over 300 million. Get paid Cole. Hopefully by the Angels.

10 years 300 mil....is the only 300 mil contract I'd offer him and this is still a risk.

that 8yrs 250 or 7yrs 225 mil contract is where I'd set for him.

Just to note, Heyman is Boras' personal publicity department. They guy has, year after year, promoted baseless rumors about the interest in Boras clients. So take every tweet with a grain of salt.

Everything is a smoke screen right now. Until we see the actual numbers they sign for.

I bet the Astros are in hot on Wheeler, seeing him as a Cole replacement.

Wheeler as he is right now is too inconsistent to be going north of 100 mill. Unless Callaway feels he can get him to be more consistent we can get better bang for our buck elsewhere.

so if the doggies sign rendon, what do they do with justin turner? if they move him to second, then what do they do with the guy playing there now, #13?

At some point, the “hope we don’t pay x amount for so and so” has to stop, in my opinion. 

We have committed to Trout. Now it’s time to commit to winning, we’ve put ourselves in a great position to spend cash; Cole is the type of player you break the bank for and Strasburg is right behind him. If the Angels aren’t willing to commit the money, then be prepared for more .500 seasons and terrible starting pitching.  Maybe they shouldn’t go 10 years for Cole, but they better be willing to match the Yankees average salary.

Cole will not be signing with the Yankees but they sure will convince their fans that they tried.

I read a few different sources rumoring Turner to 1b and muncy to 2b and lux/seager/pederson trade for lindor.

I wonder if yanks want to drive the price up as much as possible too. Why not give the illusion you're in to cause some anxiety. I bet borass would appreciate their charade because it would help him too.

Either the Angels are keeping interest quiet or they’re out on Wheeler. Which presumably means they can’t do both and they’re all in on Cole. I can’t see a scenario where they think they have a low chance at Cole and don’t go after Wheeler instead.
