Matt Harrison is a better example of a potential Cozart inclusion in a deal. 

The Phillies have released lefty Matt Harrison, per a club announcement. Dropping him from the 40-man roster will increase the team’s flexibility this winter.

Harrison, 31, came to Philadelphia as part of the cost balancing in the Cole Hamels trade. He is still owed $15MM through next season, which includes a buyout of a 2018 club option, under the extension he signed with the Rangers.

There were no clear expectations that Harrison would even attempt to pitch this year. Serious back issues have completely derailed his career. Though he was able to return briefly to the majors in 2015, he hasn’t appeared in any competitive action since the trade.

I'm telling you guys, Stassi is going to hit .230 with some pop. It won't be game changing type of production, but it will be better than it was. And Kevan Smith before injury was a stud at the plate, though left some to be desired on defense.

I don't think catching will be good, but I think it will be better than it was last year.

Shoot, he ended up hitting nearly .280 with pop.

That actually wasn't a terrible plan. Wheeler got way more, but Ryu got less. Hill would've been a sunken cost and Moreland had a heck of a year.

They may have actually made the playoffs with that rotation, but then again I didn't say anything about Rendon and he played a big part of any wins the Angels actually had. So maybe not.

@Second Base I’ll actually be posting the results from this later on today. I’ve spent all day today going through, evaluating plans, considering what was realistic, and have issued some verdicts!
