This was one of the better matchups Ive seen in a bit. Someone mentioned the other day the middle games were "boring", with no drama. Meh, maybe.

But i thought the SP matchups made it cool. Cant remember the last time 2 teams had bonafide top tier guys available for every start.

Then throw in both teams having a handful of superstars, Soto turning in a miguel cabrera 2003 performance, and Washingtons comebacks the last 2 nights... was cool to watch.

I thought houston would take it pretty easy. After the first two games it was like "wow, theyre gonna get upset!" Then they sweep in Washington, and scherzer cant pitch, and it was like "wow, those crazy bastards pulled it off". Early lead game 6, early lead game 7...

Yeah... congrats to the nats.

Jose Guillen is still a bitch for 2005 though.

First time two Cu Young winners have faced each other in a WS, too.

Thats crazy. @Lou pointed out yesterday strasburg is the first 1st round pick to win WS MVP.

Youd think both of these would have happened by now

Yeah. Strasberg, two Cy Young winners (Scherzer and Greinke) in the same game, and a seven game series where the road team won every game.

Curious question that I don’t want to create a new thread for.

Is this the first time in WS history that a series went 7 games with the road team winning every game?

Pretty interesting feat.

Not only that, I think this is the first time it’s happened in any playoff series in any major professional sport in American sports history.
