Bottom line we need to get where the Astros are. They just know how to win. They weren’t intimidated by Yankee Stadium or the Yankees.

dude,  their rotation is stacked, their lineup is stacked, and their front office and coaching staff are cutting edge.

they don't, "just know how to win".

Like I said. We need to get there. We have to build a rotation that competes with the best and we need our hitters to hit in clutch situations.

Houston v Washington if it happens will be a pitching nightmare for both clubs.

Its actually going to be pretty cool.

People will bitch if theres no offense. But lets be honest. Even if lets say it was trout vs fill in the blank guy for a series. Yeah, you get 4 at bats a game to compare them.

Stros and nats.... just about every game will feature premier pitcher vs premier pitcher. Gonna be pretty interesting.

Ya it’ll definitely be just watch tv. Be cool to see some of the best pitchers go head to head. I can’t remember the last time that’s happened in the World Series.

during the regular season their offense was worse with RISP than they were otherwise.  It's not clutch.  They're just talented.

Of course it's the goal to be that good but there is no magic pill that transforms teams overnight.  They drafted Springer in 2011 and Luchnow took over in 2012.  They started to break the team down in 2010 and spent 9 years without a playoff appearance from 2006 to 2014.  and even that playoff spot they got in 2015 was a WC berth after an 86 win season.

So it essentially was an 11 year process to get them where they are now.

We all want to be as good as they are but it's not gonna happen in one off season and maybe not even by 2021.  Honestly, we may never have three 100 wins seasons in a row.  They are on a fairly historical run.  But they're not going to be this good forever so while it would be nice to get to where they're at, we just need to continue to get better and do things that make being better sustainable.  Which is what they are doing even though some are getting impatient with the process.  It's still the right process and it takes time.  It can be undone very easily if they get impatient and try to rush things.

6 of the top 13 pitchers from this year would be playing in that series.
