Angels employee details team's knowledge of Tyler Skaggs' drug use to DEA

According to the two sources familiar with what Kay told DEA investigators, Kay told agents that he had first mentioned Skaggs’ use to Mead in 2017. In addition, Kay told investigators about a second Angels official who knew of Skaggs’ use.

Can I get a link to that?

F*ck this asshole. He just gave $50 million to Tyler's mom by abetting. Money that Arte is going to have to pay because it wasn't some bagage handler. I hope his ass is jailed and nobody gives him a whiff of sympathy because he was an addict.

Fired obviously, but hopefully not jail. People do drugs. Sometimes unsafely.

He didn't cause Skaggs' death. I'd say, sadly, that Skaggs caused his own death. As far as we know, no one was forcing him to take opiates and fentanyl.

This isn't about blame. Skaggs had a problem and/or just got out of hand that one night.

I agree.

Shouldn't be about blame. We'll see how Skaggs' family proceeds.

Between the Braves stuff and Dodgers a few years ago - and wasn’t it the Astros who got hacking into the Cardinals proprietary data? - it’ll blow over. If this kind of stuff is fairly common in MLB, the only reason it might have an effect is if the publicity makes it so. Hard to tell at the moment.

This.... a player dying... an employee involved in his drug use... who knows what's to come

Isnt common

Skaggs should have at least changed out of the Cowboy outfit before OD'ing. Now he just looks like a drugged up homo.

This is just wrong on so many levels.   Funny as hell, but wrong.  :P

Fire everybody involved and get the damn drugs out of the clubhouse once and for all.

Players still doing drugs? Get rid of them!!

I feel bad for his wife and family who probably had no idea what was going on.

Or did they?  Can you really hide being a drug user from your wife?  Can't people see signs?  White residue on nose?

Looks like karma hit the Cards bigtime in this NLCS, so far.

Leaving Wainwright in for the 8th isn't karma.  Just bad managing, and a dead arm.

Still going to need another pitcher regardless of how many heads roll or who becomes the manager.

Why can't there be more responsible adults around?
