One pitcher isn’t gonna make or break this team. If you get two or three out of the top 5 guys this offseason the Angels will be much better than just getting one ace. That being said getting Cole and another top starter would be ideal.

I don’t believe that would do anything more than win us a few games. If you want to win in the postseason you need an ace.

The odds of us getting either of those guys have to be kinda low.  Nothing to do with the Angels position but the fact that both, especially Cole will be #1 on half the teams in baseballs FA list.

Then you go Strasburg and Wheeler.  You can probably get both of those guys for the total dollars Cole gets.  I’d put the chance of us signing Rendon at about 3%, maybe less.

Strasburg and Wheeler could be off the board by the time Boras has Cole signed. Arte and Eppler better plan the offseason very carefully because timing is everything.
