Again, this is coming from a native american. Literally, his forefathers walked the Trail of Tears.

But I'm sure he's nothing but a big pussy.

JFC

"'I think it's a misrepresentation of the Cherokee people or Native Americans in general,'' Helsley said. "'Just depicts them in this kind of caveman-type people way who aren't intellectual. They are a lot more than that. It's not me being offended by the whole mascot thing. It's not. It's about the misconception of us, the Native Americans, and how we're perceived in that way, or used as mascots. The Redskins and stuff like that.''

If his ancestors could see him now they’d tell him that compared to the rape and genocide they experienced the braves don’t seem so bad!

Ironically that could be put in there.

Long Beach is the birthplace of Asian gangs. Not the chinese / korean gangs that the media fell in love with because they were smart kids that got involved with identity theft and fraud.

But the Cambodian/Laotian and Viet gangs. The heavy hitter actual asian street gangs started in central LB, the "east side", because of how they were getting it from the Mexicans.

The biggest Mexican gang in LB grew huge, ended up splitting into 3 sides and fighting each other.

That went away in the 90s... they squashed their beef to go at it with ALL asians in the city.

Like I said, central Long Beach from the 90s to the 2000s was a warzone.

And that leaves out north long bezch, with all the compton beefs.... but that was standard gangbanging. The east side was straight race based. ESL/WSL (the main Mexican gang) shot and killed far more minorities in an area the size of la habra than any peckerwood group has for decades.

And like that list i posted shows, they got it back just as much.

I can't imagine the peckerwoods were super popular.

What are the implications for the Angels new stadium?

I have been a Braves fan since decades before the chop showed up. I dislike the chop because:

1. It came from Florida State. As a Florida alumnus, there are few things that I find more irritating than that damned war chant.

2. It reminds me that Deion Sanders once played for the Braves.

Interesting that the complaining pitcher is Cherokee. I'm guessing that this is the same Cherokee Tribe that makes many of the foam tomahawks sold at the ballpark.

BTW, my congrats to my fave NL team for setting a record for the worst post-season first inning in the history of a sport that began play in 1869. Normally they tease us for more than a half inning before folding in a deciding game. After they failed to put away Game 4 despite having several chances, I told my wife that they would lose Game 5, and it wouldn't be close. She asked how I knew. I said, "I have followed this team since 1966. It's what they do."

Long beach definitely had some skins back in the day.... but in a different part of town (more an HB thing).

But they werent a factor at all in the bad times.

Ohtani will probably avoid the streets and come in by boat... like the cambodians did in the 80s.

Cmon, that was good.
