Also, I think this has less to do with Brad not being right for the job and more to do with the fact that Maddon, Girardi and Bochy are all available.

Keep the current hitting coaches. Heck even keep our 3B coach. But a new offing coach would be nice.

And new trainers too. Ones that make sure half the effing roster doesn't get hurt or die. A new stadium too....

Wouldn't the Angels want to back Ausmus if they weren't going to fire him? 

If they were planning on it, why a press conference tomorrow?

I'd say the latter would be more bizarre, but if he's coming back why not say something now, after the rumors?

This team needs a total overhaul from the manager on down. Almost everything except Trout is dysfunctional in some way. 

A lot of patience is also needed from the fans, as a playoff spot may still be several years away. But no more 90-loss seasons please!

So Theo dumps Renteria for Maddon and now the Angels will dump Ausmus? Renteria ended up with the White Sox which must mean Ausmus ends up with the Dodgers?

While i'm sure that's true, isn't it possible this manager stuff was known at that point? Would Maddon know he wasn't coming back a while ago, and he and the Angels possibly had discussed coming here?
