At a certain point, Trout needs to start thinking about retirement before his career average falls below .300.

Second mini slump this month, which is weird to see 1 for his last 16. A few errors as well. Haven’t seen him play this poorly in quite some time

His fWAR is down from 8.5 a few days ago to 8.3 after today's game.

I still think he'll limp his way to 10, but I was really hoping for 10.5 - which would be the best season of any active player (Mookie Betts was 10.4 last year, Buster Posely 10.4 in 2012).

31 games, 1.7 fWAr to 10.0, 2.2 to 10.5. 

(I know its silly, but what else do I have at this point?!)

he's also got some tough competition coming up.  I think he'll get to 10.0.
