Okay, shifting gears a bit:

Which hitter had arguably the greatest single day in baseball history? In a doubleheader, he hit five home runs, drove in 13 runs, and had 22 total bases.

Angel players or in general?

Colbert it is!

On August 1, 1972, San Diego Padre slugger, Nate Colbert, had the greatest hitting performance in Major League history during a doubleheader. That day, he hit five home runs, knocked in 13 and had 22 total bases. Coincidently, as a youngster, Nate was in the stands with his dad in St. Louis on May 2, 1954 when he witnessed Stan "The Man" Musial hit five home runs in a doubleheader. That day, he told his father that he wanted to do that someday.
