That at bat by Trout pretty much sums it up for him. Almost drilled two fastballs and then spits on a nice slider right off the plate to take the walk. So good

Opening day?  Yeah.  But I'd be very surprised if he didn't see  MLB roster time next season. They go through so many pitchers these days.

At this point, he’s like 6th on the current totem pole, and falling further back if two solid guys are signed in the off-season.

Is he 21 or 22 years old?  Either way we should probably show a little bit of patience.

That is true, and he is still 21.

But after looking today at T-Rex’s progression, where he looked great through age 20, and then pretty much fell off the map in AAA, and then after a one year semi-recovery, totally fell off the map and retired at age 23; I can’t help but to think back to that.

How does Suarez look really good through AA at just 20, and then this season really struggle in AAA and here?   Has his pitching changed?
