What happened? We ran out of games against Seattle. And then came the Starving Artists Guild from Baltimore and Detroit City.

It's like the energy level was sapped suddenly after the sweep completion of the Dogs.   2-11 since then, and outscored 86-47

Was it the 16 inning loss to the O's?   Or to be expected once the starting pitching was reduced to a small number?   Or some of both?

It's earlier, but this reminds me of 2001.   All sorts of energy used to get to several games over .500, and then nothing left in the tank

Not really sure why a struggling Upton is still getting the AB’s over Goodwin, lefty pitcher or not.  Upton has seen his average drop about 40 points in the last 2 weeks.  Goodwin seemed to be swinging a fairly hot bat recently (as was Thaiss).

Speaking of 2001, we finished 2-19.

Something like that could happen again. Our final 35 games? A full 32 of them are against teams either leading their division or very much in the wild card picture.

Upton could get tangled up in his bat and fall down, but he'll hit against lefties. Just because.
