Best explanation of what happened Wednesday is incompetent reconstruction of the outfield after those off-road races before the season. They blew the drainage problem. A 20-minute heavy shower collapsed the insufficient drainage.

Our sputtering start has cost the Angels a national ESPN game around Labor Day.  Today wasn't a scheduled game on MLB. The Wednesday slot may have been, but everybody has moved on.
