It was good to see him call out a congressional subcommittee for their witch hunt against Apple.

 

 

Our tax code is a joke and it's a major reason this country continues to bleed jobs and cash to foreign countries.

Our tax code is archaic and this is something people who work with the code here and abroad admit.  It would make too much sense to simplify it but I doubt that ever happens.  Meanwhile US companies don't bring money back here because of tax consequences of repatriation.

No, but seriously, Rand Paul and his dad are pretty cool.  I don't necessarily agree with everything they have to say, but I believe that they believe in what they say--and that alone means a lot to me.  They are consistent with the philosophy that they preach, and don't stumble over contradictions.  More power to them.

He makes Apple out to be some American job savior that we should all be thanking. I would love to look at the figures of Apple American vs overseas jobs. I'm sure the American stats are nothing to write home about.

I agree with Rand and TobiasFunke.  The Congress and the POTUS ought to do more with our tax codes to make it more attractive for companies like Apple to create more jobs here and less overseas.

I don't think people are more important than any other people.  I bet those jobs mean as much to them as the ones here mean.
