Okay guys, my parents DO want me there on Friday morning. We're all pretty nervous and anxious about it. I might take the whole day off. If you guys want to play early, without me, go for it. If you're down to wait until 11am, I would love to get together. If that's the case, might I propose - 11am, on the range. 12pm tee time? We would be done by 1pm or so, could have lunch and lament on past victor's mom handies.

Never played that short course. Are the green fees just for 9 or do they let you play the course twice? I've been thinking about taking my wife out there since it is a short course and she has only hit buckets with me a couple of times.

 

You guys should play Casta Del Sol. It's cheap on Friday's after 1pm. You can walk for $16.75. A lot bigger course than Lake Forest.

FYI, I don't think LF has power carts (unless something has changed in the last year).  They rent big, old pull-carts.

 

Tied my all-time round with an 85 yesterday at Skylinks in Long Beach.  It was the first time playing there since they revamped the course.  We played at 10am in the humidity, and I promptly sent my opening tee-shot into the lake in front of the first green.  It was the first of only two double-bogeys, to go with a bunch of pars.  The greens were running pretty fast, and I missed a few birdie chances.

 

Pretty sure the shot of Yukon at the turn was the key to my round...

I am fine with anything.  I can walk 9 but I always prefer the cart.  I am out of shape and not that interested in walking a golf course to get in better shape.
