At my best I was about a 12-15 handicap. I don't mind a challenge at all, but a 260 yd par 3 had better be a downhill or down wind hole, otherwise it's pretty un-par-able for pretty much everyone.

p.s. I don't mind associating with you hackers. It helps keep me grounded.

That's about where I play too, when I'm playing and practicing consistently.  At my nine hole course, there is a 280 par 4 hole that has a fairly wide fairway.  When I'm hitting well, I've driven the green a few times... Most of the time though, it's a hard-slice into the Lagoon...

 

Haven't played in almost a month now; can't wait to see what happens when/if I get back out there...

I found out my handicap as calculated by SCGA is 22.3.  Don't quite know how that works seeing as my last 5 rounds are 111, 100, 95, 105, 118

I'm obviously an asshole, that's a given.  Not good enough to sandbag.  The 95 was at Mile Square, the 100 was at Big Rec.  118 at Dos Lagos (I found both lakes, a couple times), 105 at San Clemente, and a goddamn 111 at my "home" course, Skylinks.

103 at Dove on Saturday.  If it werent for a 13 on a hole I couldve broke 100 there for the 1st time.

Maybe. I'm off until Tuesday. My issue - we're selling our condo. It is being listed on Friday. I think I'm done with all the facelift components. I'm not sure what else (my wife is going to make me) I have to do. I don't know what my schedule is like through the weekend. I'll hit you up if I can.

They calculate handicap by taking the best 10 of your last 20 rounds and do the handicap from the average of those 10 best.

The answer is no - this is a Scrambles format without handicaps.

Just got back from Casa Del Sol. Shot a 77 and it was an ugly 77. Par is 60 there as it is a short course.

 

The good...I was 4 over on the back thru 7 holes and had 7 pars on the round.

The bad...I had 3 triple bogeys and one double in the round.

11 over on the front and 7 over on the back.

Woke up with a stiff back that never loosened up. I paid for the round last night and still wanted to see how I would do though.

Played Olivas Links yesterday. Shot and 80. Burned the edges on a lot of putts. Fun course though. It was the first time I have played it and would go back.

Shot 88 at the local country club today.  Could drive worth crap but I scrambled well.  That is a really good score for me.
