Not my score but my 16 year old just qualified for the Utah Open as a junior amateur.  He is beyond excited.  Should be a fun experience for him.  There is a couple of ex PGA tour guys who usually show up.  Tony Romo played in it last year.....and there are a lot of club pros that will play in it because the Utah Open is run by the Utah PGA.  He will probably be one of 5 junior's or so.

I was curious and looked at the field.  Is that who I think that is tied for 133, at 3 over par?

silverado country club is in a gorgeous setting in napa. our golf class went there once to use their driving range, and just that by itself was impressive. 

one of the tour pros at the time (1982) just happened to be there getting in some practice time on the range. our teacher called all of us over to watch him hit 6 irons. it was rather magical to see the ball flight, the consistency, and the distance from someone who really knew what they were doing.

That was the weirdest round of golf I had ever played. I'm glad you were a witness because I know you wouldn't tell anyone about me hitting 15 trees off the tee box.

Been playing 9 Sunday morning with my brothers for two months now. Shot 45's two weekends in a row and on both cards had 3 putts. And all of those 3 putts were inside 3 feet. So weirdness seems to follow my game.

Shot a pretty nice 82 today on Bay Course at Kapalua.  Beautiful, but windy day.  My wife is a pretty tough critic.  Said I did “OK” but didn’t break 80.  Jeez.

Maybe you could buy some golf shoes instead of those clod hoppers to help lower your score.

Actually those shoes are hybrid golf shoes and are comfortable as hell.  I love them.

When they catch the asshole his sentence should be to retrieve range balls for a year with a wheel barrow while players practice. 

There is a douchebag over at Coyote Hills that shows up after the last group is done with his shag bag of balls and peppers one of the greens. He left a tee marker for his yardage so he could go back to the same spot multiple times. There must have been over 40 ball marks that he didn't repair and scattered golf balls he couldn't find in the dark.
