Well my post got deleted but LT acting like he knows what is going on is asinine.

 

Trout had said that he prefers CF.  I have heard multiple players say that the position they play on the field influences their at bats.  It could be coincidence, but it also could be true.

I think it's silly to have the position you play to affect your at bats. I could understand if the player was going from 1st to 3rd base, or outfield to 3rd. But left to center, that's just silly. What it basically says is Trout isn't comfortable playing arguably the easiest position (LF) on the field. I'm guessing that isn't the case, I'm guessing he prefers CF because he feels like he's more in control.

Last year's results while playing in LF, more games and more innings than this year so far, say that it isn't a factor. 

 

It's post hoc reasoning pure and simple. 

 

I am working on those numbers now.  Can't find an easy way to research them... since you know already can you share them with us?
