GAME 43 - ROYALS AT ANGELS

ANAHEIM – Garret Anderson’s three-run home run in theseventh inning broke open a tight game and led the Angels to a 5-1 win over theKansas City Royals before 15,593 at Edison Field.

Anderson’s homer, his seventh of the season, followed an RBIsingle by Troy Glaus, which snapped a 1-1 tie.

Angels starter Aaron Sele gave up one run and eight hits in6 2/3 innings, but got a no-decision. Dennis Cook earned the win in relief forthe Angels, who won for the 11th time in 12 games and moved towithin 2 ½ games of first place in the A.L. West.
