Hitters are actually on pace for over 500 BBs as a team.

Mainly thanks to Ianetta's 27 walks in 36 games, A patient hitter but still way above his career norm.

Albert was taking walks the first week, 9 in 7 games, and then got back to his bad habits of early last season, 10 walks in his last 36.

The Angels hitters are also on pace to break the record for most double plays grounded into. This is not just in Angels franchise history, but in the history of MLB. The current record is held by the 2011 Cardinals.

In 2011 the Cardinals grounded into 169 double plays. Pujols was responsible for an NL-leading 29 GIDPs that season.

Angels are on pace to ground into 174. Pujols alone is on pace for an MLB record 37 of them.

Howie is actually third on the team.

Pujols - 10

Iannetta - 7

Kendrick - 6

Trout - 4

Callaspo, Hamilton, Bourjos - 3

rest - 11 combined

Trout already hitting into 4 is pretty crazy. and crappy.  Going into the season I wouldn't have thought he'd hit into 4 all year.
