That's a fair point. I don't think spending billions of dollars on it is the way to go. But it's something that needs attention.

Western Europe is one of the more progressive places in the world and they are supremely racist.  I don’t know what can be done.

what I do know is that when the government tries to fix things they normally make it worse.

Actually I don't agree with that. Maybe because I don't live my life that way, have not raised my children to believe in racism as a political tool. We have enough wrote law to insure those that practice racism in governement or the public sector are dealt with. We just need better people on both sides and that requires both putting down the weaponization of skin color. In short, it's a people problem, not government.
